Even after the teenage years, when acne is no more around, the black spots on the skin remind you about acne. Check your cosmetics, foods and other products to make sure you are not having a problem with allergies that can be mistaken for acne. Acne vulgaris is commonly found on people that have very oily skin. Over washing can actually make the acne worse. You need an internal acne treatment and not the external acne treatments you see today.

Acne removal is the first thing on the mind of a person suffering from acne. If you follow a basic guideline and restrict some bad habits, then you can do wonders for acne removal. Never apply chemical and oily cosmetics on the face. You could also talk to your doctor or dermatologist if hormones and adult acne are problematic for you. Acne remedies are effective along with a parallel treatment procedure of medicines. That way you will avoid clogging of your pores, which means no acne. Now there are many different treatments on the market that can effectively deal with severe adult acne. For the first time, severe adult acne be eliminated.

Acne natural and one step solutions are frequently being searched for by teenagers and adults all over the world. The sale of medicines for acne is on the increase and this suggests that there is an increase in the number of people having acne. Acne in some is caused by hormonal factors, particularly in women. Some acne creams even irritate the skin and end up doing more damage than good if used by the wrong person. Many people find that when they cut down on milk, sugar, refined processed food, meats that are high in fat, nuts and white flour, acne is not a problem. The common antibiotics for treatment of acne are minocycline, doxycycline and tetracycline. Genetics play a large role in how severe adolescent acne may become, but almost all teens will acne to some degree. Avoid picking or popping acne.

There are many other factors which can cause acne, such as the presence of normal skin bacteria, inflammation and hormonal changes during puberty. Acne treatment requires patience as it usually takes between six to eight weeks of management before visible signs of improvement can be seen. Lotions or creams that contain alpha hydroxy acids, salicylic acid or bovine cartilage seem to reduce acne for some people.

Alzheimer’s disease is a group disorders involving the parts of the brain that control thought, memory, and language. Alzheimer’s disease is becoming tragically common. It is estimated that there are currently 18 million people worldwide with Alzheimer?s disease. Dementia is a disease of the nervous system characterized by loss of certain mental abilities. This loss is severe enough to interfere with normal activities and lasts at least six months. Dementia is the term for the deterioration of brain function that results in loss of memory, reduced language skills, impaired reasoning and behavioural and emotional problems. As the disease develops, a person loses the ability to carry out familiar tasks, to reason, and to exercise judgment. Moods, personality, and ability to communicate may also be affected. People with AD typically die within eight years of their diagnosis. Some individuals may die within a year of diagnosis, others may live as long as twenty years.

Alzheimer’s disease is progressive, which means that symptoms worsen over time. Language difficulties also are common in people with Alzheimer’s disease. People with Alzheimer’s can lose their sense of time and place – they may, for example, get dressed in the middle of the night or walk off and get lost. New surroundings and new people may be confusing. The disease typically progresses to the stage where it is difficult for the patient to be understood by others or to understand others, and in the final stages, the patient is bedridden. Free radicals are another factor in the formation of tangles and plaques. Free radicals are very active chemicals that form in the brain and damage brain cells. Chemicals known as antioxidants react with and destroy free radicals. Unfortunately there is no cure for Alzheimer’s. However, drugs can help to slow down the progression or relieve some symptoms and delay the need for residential care. Other therapies and support are available.

Causes of Alzheimers Disease

The exect causes of alzheimers disease are currently not known. Alzheimer’s is caused by a loss of brain cells, as well as changes in the cerebral cortex. Free radicals are another factor in the formation of tangles and plaques. Free radicals are very active chemicals that form in the brain and damage brain cells. Chemicals known as antioxidants react with and destroy free radicals. Another risk factor is heredity. People whose family members have had AD are more likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease than those whose families do not have this history. People who have hypothyroidism or have experienced head injuries are also at relatively high risk for AD. Environmental factors have sometimes been proposed as possible causes for Alzheimers disease.

Symptoms of Alzheimers Disease

The earliest symptom of Alzheimer’s disease is memory loss. Memory loss by itself is not an indication that a person has Alzheimer’s disease. Some memory loss is a natural part of growing old. People with Alzheimer’s can lose their sense of time and place – they may, for example, get dressed in the middle of the night or walk off and get lost. In early stages of the disease, family or friends may notice changes in behaviour. As the disease progresses, memory loss gets worse and some people have difficulty in learning new skills. Changes in behaviour may become more obvious, with people saying or doing things that are out of character. Some people become depressed because they realise what is happening to them. During the late stages of the disease, people with Alzheimer’s may become totally dependent on others for their care. Walking can become difficult and urinary incontinence may develop.

Treatment of Alzheimers Disease

There is currently no cure and virtually no medical treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. However, drugs can help to slow down the progression or relieve some symptoms and delay the need for residential care. A type of drug called cholinesterase inhibitors are used for people with moderate Alzheimer’s disease. They work by reducing the breakdown of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, levels of which are low in Alzheimer’s. There are three such drugs available: donepezil (Aricept), rivastigmine and galantamine. Another drug, memantine, was launched for people in the late stages of Alzheimer’s. Sometimes anti-depressant medicines are prescribed to help treat the depression that can be associated with Alzheimer’s disease. Some people may benefit from anti-psychotic medicines.

Acne tends to affect most teenagers to some degree. And in most cases, it is a mild temporary condition that is not permanent. But some teenagers develop severe acne problems that dramatically and negatively affect their social and emotional well being. And for some of these individuals, this debilitating condition can turn into a life long problem.

Severe acne problems affect millions of adults. An acne breakout for adults can occur out of nowhere and without any warning and then go away just as easily. But it can also be a serious chronic condition for some sufferers. Severe acne sufferers also have to deal with the embarrassment of unsightly acne scars, which can result in low self esteem issues.

There are hundreds of acne treatments that involve drugs and expensive creams. But they are not designed to treat the underlying conditions that cause acne outbreaks. These expensive remedies treat the symptoms of the disease, not the disease itself.

Many acne remedies are designed to treat the mild temporary acne that primarily affects teenagers. Doctors know that teenage acne is a fleeting problem and, as the teenager enters adulthood, the acne normally goes away. As a result, most doctors treat only the acne, not the underlying condition. Unfortunately, adult acne sufferers know that their acne will return again and again. They know that acne will be a recurring visitor in their life. The expensive treatments the doctors typically prescribe can not cure the disease; it can only treat the symptoms.

If you suffer from severe acne, you also know that serious infections can result. And this sometimes requires powerful and expensive drugs to fight it off. Until recently, there were not many effective tools to deal with severe acne. But now there is a holistic acne treatment than can get rid of acne in just 3 days. Get the details on this amazing <a onClick=”javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview(’/outgoing/article_exit_link’);” href=”http://AcneCure.WorksBest.org”>acne cure here.</a>

Do you have a recurring acne problem? If so, hormones may be responsible for it. Acne can be a serious problem but there are things you can do to alleviate the situation.

In many cases, acne is a hormonal problem. The reason teenagers are more prone to acne than most is because of their hormones. Hormones cause the oils glands in our skin to mature and as these oil glands change, they produce acne.

Hormones and adult acne occur at different times in our lives and there are things that can make the acne even worse. Many people experience an acne outbreak due to the use of certain birth control pills. Other things that can cause an acne outbreak is pregnancy or menopause.

Hormones and adult acne problems are not limited to women. Males can also be affected by acne. When excess oil builds up in our system, bacteria flourishes and causes an acne outbreak. So what can you do to prevent these outbreaks?

One way to reduce the severity of an acne outbreak is to keep your skin clean. Wash thoroughly with soap and water. Another cause is the foods we eat. Foods high in fat and sugar can make you more prone to acne problems. Drinking a lot of caffeine can also contribute to the problem, so limit the amount of caffeine in your diet.

If you suffer from severe acne, you also know that acne can cause severe infections. And unfortunately, these infections may not go away without the use of expensive drugs. And until recently, there were not many effective remedies that deal with the root cause of acne. But now there is a holistic acne treatment than can get rid of acne in just 3 days.

Parkinson’s Disease is a disease mostly affecting middle-aged and elderly people characterized by tremors and rigid, slow movement. It is also known as PD or Parkinson disease. Early symptoms of PD are subtle and occur gradually. Parkinson’s disease belongs to a group of conditions called movement disorders. The disease is both chronic, meaning it persists over a long period of time, and progressive, meaning its symptoms grow worse over time. Parkinson’s disease was named after Scottish physician James Parkinson, who published a description of the condition. Cardinal features include resting tremor, rigidity, bradykinesia, and postural instability. In some people the disease progresses more quickly than in others. It is characterized by muscle rigidity, tremor, a slowing of physical movement ( bradykinesia ), and in extreme cases, a loss of physical movement ( akinesia ). PD usually affects people over the age of 50. The risk of PD increases with age, so analysts expect the financial and public health impact of this disease to increase as the population gets older. In Parkinson’s, cells are destroyed in part of the brain stem – the substantia nigra, which sends out fibers to the corpus stratia, gray and white bands of tissue in both sides of the brain. Parkinson’s disease is called idiopathic Parkinson’s because the cause is unknown. In the other forms of parkinsonism, a cause is known or suspected.

Causes of Parkinson’s disease

The common causes and risk factor’s of Parkinson’s disease include the following:

The exact cause of Parkinson’s disease is not known.

Pesticides or other chemicals.

A combination of genetic and environmental factors.

Environmental toxins.

Proximity to industrial plants or quarries.

Exposure to an environmental toxin. .

Having one or more close relatives with Parkinson’s.

Symptoms of Parkinson’s disease

Some sign and symptoms related to Parkinson’s disease are as follows:

Loss of automatic movements.

Fatigue.

Difficulty swallowing.

Nightmares.

Depression.

Micrographia (small, cramped handwriting).

Difficulty walking or buttoning clothes.

Tremor.

Slowed motion (bradykinesia).

Treatment of Parkinson’s disease

Here is list of the methods for treating Parkinson’s disease:

Parlodel is a useful drug for Parkinson’s disease.

Tolcapone

Pramipexole.

Trihexyphenidyl.

Selegiline (Eldepryl): This drug, used with or without carbidopa-levodopa therapy, helps prevent the breakdown of both naturally occurring dopamine and dopamine formed from levodopa.

Other treatment approaches, including general lifestyle modifications (rest and exercise), physical therapy, speech therapy, will be covered in Maintaining Optimal Wellness.

Various forms of surgical treatment are available to control movement disorders when medications are ineffective.

Peyronie’s disease is an acquired inflammatory condition of the associated with penile curvature and, in some cases, pain. The exact cause of Peyronie’s Disease is unknown but several theories have been proposed. The disease is characterized by a hard, fibrous layer of scar tissue (plaque) that usually develops under the skin on the upper or lower side of the Cases of Peyronie’s disease range from mild to severe. Symptoms may develop slowly or appear overnight. In Peyronie’s disease, dense, fibrous scar tissue forms in the tunica albuginea. Some patients who do not have pain with erection have tenderness on palpation of the indurated plaque. It begins as a localized inflammation and can develop into a hardened scar. Men with Peyronie’s disease usually seek medical attention because of painful erections and difficulty.

The onset of signs of the Peyronie’s disease can be sudden or slow and can vary in severity. A number of authors believe that Peyronie’s disease results, in part, from trauma. Because Peyronie’s disease doctors have historically classified the condition as a form of impotence, currently referred to as erectile dysfunction. There is no cure for Peyronie’s disease. In many cases, pain caused by Peyronie’s disease may decrease after a short period of time. Ten percent of men with Peyronie’s Disease have a condition called Dupuytren’s contracture which is similar to a trigger finger. Peyronie’s disease may shrink or disappear without treatment, medical experts suggest waiting a full year before attempting to correct it surgically.

Causes of Peyronie’s disease

The common causes and risk factor’s of Peyronie’s disease include the following:

Injury

Psychological conditions.

Heredity.

Collagen abnormality.

Neurologic conditions.

Diabetes mellitus.

Smoking.

Symptoms of Peyronie’s disease

Some sign and symptoms related to Peyronie’s disease are as follows:

Painful erection.

Narrowing of the diameter of your during erection.

Painful erections and difficulty.

A thick band of hard tissue on one or more sides.

Curve in the during erection.

Bend in the with erection.

Hardened tissue (plaque).

Here is list of the methods for treating Peyronie’s disease

Medications (such as verapamil, potassium aminobenzoate [Potaba], colchicine, or injected steroids) and vitamin E may help treat pain and improve function.

In some cases, use of a penile prosthesis may be used to help maintain an erection.

Shock wave lithotripsy has also been used to treat Peyronie’s disease.

Symptoms may go away somewhat with radiation therapy or corticosteroid injections into the fibrous band of tissue.

Vitamin E is also sometimes used.

Peyronie’s disease has been treated with some success by surgery.

Raynaud’s disease is a condition that affects the blood supply to the fingers, toes and occasionally the ears and nose. Raynaud’s disease can be classified as one of two types: primary (or idiopathic) and secondary (also called Raynaud’s phenomenon). Primary Raynaud’s disease has no predisposing factor, is more mild, and causes fewer complications. About half of all cases of Raynaud’s disease are of this type. It can occur without any other associated symptoms or disease. The fingers are the most commonly affected area, but the toes also are affected in 40 percent of people with Raynaud’s. In severe cases, tissue damage leads to gangrene and the ends of the affected digits die and become black, requiring amputation. Fortunately this is a rare complication. Women are more likely than men are to have the disorder. It’s more common in people who live in colder climates. Use of such drugs, which constrict blood vessels, can also make Raynaud’s phenomenon worse. Some people with Raynaud’s phenomenon also have other disorders that occur when arteries are prone to constrict.

People who operate vibrating machinery may also experience this problem. If the condition progresses, blood flow to the area could become permanently decreased causing the fingers to become thin and tapered, with smooth, shiny skin and slow growing nails. People can control mild Raynaud’s disease by protecting their head, trunk, arms, and legs from cold. Secondary Raynaud’s disease is common among individuals systemic lupus erythematosus in tropical countries. Secondary Raynaud’s disease is the same as primary Raynaud’s disease, but occurs in individuals with a predisposing factor, usually a form of collagen vascular disease. Raynaud’s disease is diagnosed if the symptoms occur only by itself and is not accompanied by other diseases. When you have primary or secondary Raynaud’s, cold temperatures or stressful emotions can trigger attacks. During these attacks, there is a brief lack of blood flow to the affected body part(s), and the skin can temporarily become white then bluish. When Raynaud’s is severe (which is uncommon), exposure to cold for as little as 20 minutes can cause major tissue damage.

Causes of Raynaud’s disease

The common causes and risk factor’s of Raynaud’s disease include the following:

The exact cause of Raynaud’s is unknown.

Smoking.

Contact with the cold.

Alcohol use (in women).

Chemical exposure.

Diseases of the arteries.

Associated diseases.

Repetitive trauma.

Emotions such as stress and anxiety.

It appears to be more common in people who live in colder climates.

Symptoms of Raynaud’s disease

Some sign and symptoms related to Raynaud’s disease are as follows:

A tingling feeling or pain in the fingers or toes when they warm up.

Tingling or pain on warming.

Bluish skin.

Sequence of color changes in your skin in response to cold or stress.

Slight swelling.

Numbness.

Skin redness or inflammation.

Pain in the fingers or toes when they are cold.

Treatment of Raynaud’s disease

Here is list of the methods for treating Raynaud’s disease:

Self-care and preventive treatment usually are effective in alleviating mild symptoms of Raynaud’s.

Calcium channel blockers: These drugs relax and open up small blood vessels in your hands and feet.

Biofeedback can also help to decrease the severity and frequency of RP in some patients.

Doctors may use a surgical procedure called a digital sympathectomy with adventitial stripping (which involves removing the tissue and nerves around the blood vessels supplying the affected digits).

Patients with persistent or bothersome symptoms may be helped by taking oral medications that open (dilate) blood vessels. These include calcium antagonists, such as diltiazem, nicardipine (Cardene), nifedipine (Procardia).

Medications to relax the walls of the blood vessels may be prescribed.

Laser therapy is an appealing treatment for acne: no messy creams, no drugs and minimal risk of side effects. Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of pulsed dye laser therapy in the treatment of acne. More research is needed before this laser therapy may be recommended as an acne treatment. Although approved to treat acne scarring, Pulsed dye laser therapy is also being used for the treatment of active inflammatory acne vulgaris. More research is needed before this laser therapy may be recommended as an acne treatment.” Pulsed-dye laser treatment for inflammatory acne vulgarisOctober 2003.

Previous studies have indicated that light therapy and laser treatment can actually improve acne. This policy addresses treatment of acne vulgaris using pulsed dye laser or photodynamic therapy. The study authors concluded, “More research is needed before this laser therapy may be recommended as an acne treatment”. – Additional research is needed before laser therapy can be recommended as a treatment for acne, according to a study.
The Er:YAG laser should be reserved for sculpting of individual scar edges and treatment of mild acne scars. Here you will find information about acne laser scar treatment. With laser acne scar treatment, the focus is on developing new collagen in the lower layer of skin. The laser treatment program for acne scar removal is somewhat different than acne laser treatment. Scar Treatment Another option for the use of acne laser treatment is that in which the acne scars can be removed. If you feel that your scars might need something more long term, then start saving for acne scar laser treatment. The only known treatment that has worked in acne scar removal is acne scar laser treatment.

Marfan syndrome (or Marfan’s syndrome) is a genetic disorder of the connective tissue. People with Marfan’s are typically tall, with long limbs and long thin fingers. The most serious complication is defects of the heart valves and aorta. It may also affect the lungs, eyes, the dural sac surrounding the spinal cord, skeleton and the hard palate.

Treatment of Marfan’s syndrome

There is no cure for Marfan syndrome, but life expectancy has increased significantly over the last few decades, and clinical trials are underway for a promising new treatment. The syndrome is treated by addressing each issue as it arises, and, in particular, considering preventive medication, even for young children, to slow progression of aortic dilation.

Research in laboratory mice has suggested that the angiotensin II receptor antagonist losartan, which appears to block TGF-beta activity, can slow or halt the formation of aortic aneurysms in Marfan syndrome. A large clinical trial sponsored by the National Institutes of Health comparing the effects of losartan and atenolol on the aortas of Marfan patients was scheduled to begin in early 2007, coordinated by Johns Hopkins.

Medications: Beta blockers (for heart problems) reduce strain on the aorta and heart valves by lowering blood pressure and decreasing the force of heart beats. Eye (ophthalmic) examinations are also recommended to monitor the function of the eyes. Glasses or contact lenses may be prescribed. Anticoagulant medications such as warfarin are needed after artificial heart-valve placement.

The Marfan syndrome is inherited and affects many parts of the body. The disorder affects males and females from all racial and ethnic groups. Marfan syndrome is associated with incomplete penetrance; therefore not all persons carrying the mutation develop the disease. It is one of the most common of the more than 100 inherited disorders of connective tissue (material that holds tissues of the body together).

The above article provides detailed description about Marfan’s Syndrome. It is important to know about this disease and its symptoms.
