Progesterone cream is used to treat progesterone deficiency, which can cause you to experience swollen breasts, fibrocystic breasts, low thyroid, water retention, weight gain, depression and loss of libido. While you are experiencing menopause, the amount of progesterone in your body drops to 0. We will talk about how to use progesterone cream to treat these symptoms, but first let’s look at why you would want to use it.

The use of progesterone cream helps to replace the progesterone in your body. By introducing progesterone into the body you help to restore the natural balance between progesterone and estrogen. The fluctuations of these two hormones are responsible for the majority of all symptoms of menopause and perimenopause. The combination of herbal remedies and the application of a naturally occurring progesterone cream can help restore your body’s natural balance.

Progesterone cream is a moisturizing cream that is based on the Mexican Yam root. How to use progesterone cream most effectively is to apply it to your face and hands. It can also be applied to your chest, abdomen, inner thigh and even your arms. This cream will not only help keep your skin free of dry patches but also raise the amount of naturally occurring progesterone in your body. This restoration of progesterone in your body is what helps relieve the symptoms of menopause.

There are several makers of this type of cream and you should look for the amount of progesterone in the cream and what its source is. A good cream will be aloe vera based for the moisturizing effect but it should also not clog your pores. Creams like this should also be fragrance free and should be hypoallergenic. You do not want to risk an allergic reaction to the treatment. You also don’t want to go around smelling like you have been using a progesterone cream treatment. We all know what Ben-Gay smells like.

The reason for the use of a cream to deliver progesterone is that is can be absorbed into the skin in just a few minutes. This process also allows the progesterone to bypass the liver and go straight to the specific receptors that need the progesterone in the first place.

Progesterone cream is one of the easiest steps to take in combatting menopausal symptoms. How to use progesterone cream most effectively is to simply apply it once a day in the recommended amount. You still need to be careful with anything you use to treat your menopause symptoms to make sure that you are getting what you pay for. Keeping a symptom diary will show you over time if the treatment is effective. Always be sure to let your doctor know what you are doing so you can avoid any complications from drug interactions with other meds.

Gum disease is a disease that many people have heard of but are unfamiliar with. This may be the reason that nearly 3/4th’s of adults in America are suffering from some form of this disease. While some cases of the disease may only cause some irritation, bleeding and occasional swelling, in it’s worst forms, this disease can cause adults to lose their teeth. Most people want to make sure they have their teeth and do not have to deal with false teeth and the best way that you can keep your natural teeth healthy is by making sure you keep your gums healthy.

Gum Disease Basics

Gum disease, which is also known as periodontal disease, basically refers to the damage that is done by bacteria and other negative factors in your mouth that obliterate the tissue of your gums. Plaque is the place where disease actually begins and it forms on your teeth without you being conscious that it is there and if you let the plaque go, it can then solidify to become what is known as tartar. Tartar buildup can lead to more bacteria between your teeth and on your gums and this can go on to lead to gum disease.

Symptoms of Gum Disease

While in the beginning, there may be no actual symptoms or signs of the disease, eventually there will be some symptoms that will appear. Some of the symptoms that can be experienced with gum disease include swollen gums, tender gums, gums that bleed easily (especially when brushing your teeth), consistent halitosis, loose teeth and gums that are receding away from your teeth. If you experience any of these symptoms, you should be sure to let your dentist know as soon as you can to prevent further deterioration.

Ways to Prevent Gum Disease

If you have no signs of disease, you may be wondering how you can keep from getting the dreaded disease. There are a variety of ways that you can protect yourself against gum disease if you are willing to take a little time to improve the health of your teeth and gums. First of all, it is very important that you brush your teeth thoroughly at least two times every day with a good toothpaste that contains fluoride. You should also floss every single day, as well, to get the plaque that is between your teeth that a toothbrush cannot reach. It is also important that you have regular cleanings that are done by a dental hygienist every six months, as well. Smoking has also been found to increase the risk of developing gum disease, so avoiding tobacco is a way that you can help keep gum disease from affecting you.

While gum disease does affect many people across the country, you do not have to be one of them. You can take control of the health of your gums and teeth and work to prevent disease. While it may just take a little time each day to prevent gum disease, in the long run, those few minutes a day can keep your teeth healthy and keep you from loosing your teeth.

Alzheimer’s disease is a group disorders involving the parts of the brain that control thought, memory, and language. Alzheimer’s disease is becoming tragically common. It is estimated that there are currently 18 million people worldwide with Alzheimer?s disease. Dementia is a disease of the nervous system characterized by loss of certain mental abilities. This loss is severe enough to interfere with normal activities and lasts at least six months. Dementia is the term for the deterioration of brain function that results in loss of memory, reduced language skills, impaired reasoning and behavioural and emotional problems. As the disease develops, a person loses the ability to carry out familiar tasks, to reason, and to exercise judgment. Moods, personality, and ability to communicate may also be affected. People with AD typically die within eight years of their diagnosis. Some individuals may die within a year of diagnosis, others may live as long as twenty years.

Alzheimer’s disease is progressive, which means that symptoms worsen over time. Language difficulties also are common in people with Alzheimer’s disease. People with Alzheimer’s can lose their sense of time and place – they may, for example, get dressed in the middle of the night or walk off and get lost. New surroundings and new people may be confusing. The disease typically progresses to the stage where it is difficult for the patient to be understood by others or to understand others, and in the final stages, the patient is bedridden. Free radicals are another factor in the formation of tangles and plaques. Free radicals are very active chemicals that form in the brain and damage brain cells. Chemicals known as antioxidants react with and destroy free radicals. Unfortunately there is no cure for Alzheimer’s. However, drugs can help to slow down the progression or relieve some symptoms and delay the need for residential care. Other therapies and support are available.

Causes of Alzheimers Disease

The exect causes of alzheimers disease are currently not known. Alzheimer’s is caused by a loss of brain cells, as well as changes in the cerebral cortex. Free radicals are another factor in the formation of tangles and plaques. Free radicals are very active chemicals that form in the brain and damage brain cells. Chemicals known as antioxidants react with and destroy free radicals. Another risk factor is heredity. People whose family members have had AD are more likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease than those whose families do not have this history. People who have hypothyroidism or have experienced head injuries are also at relatively high risk for AD. Environmental factors have sometimes been proposed as possible causes for Alzheimers disease.

Symptoms of Alzheimers Disease

The earliest symptom of Alzheimer’s disease is memory loss. Memory loss by itself is not an indication that a person has Alzheimer’s disease. Some memory loss is a natural part of growing old. People with Alzheimer’s can lose their sense of time and place – they may, for example, get dressed in the middle of the night or walk off and get lost. In early stages of the disease, family or friends may notice changes in behaviour. As the disease progresses, memory loss gets worse and some people have difficulty in learning new skills. Changes in behaviour may become more obvious, with people saying or doing things that are out of character. Some people become depressed because they realise what is happening to them. During the late stages of the disease, people with Alzheimer’s may become totally dependent on others for their care. Walking can become difficult and urinary incontinence may develop.

Treatment of Alzheimers Disease

There is currently no cure and virtually no medical treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. However, drugs can help to slow down the progression or relieve some symptoms and delay the need for residential care. A type of drug called cholinesterase inhibitors are used for people with moderate Alzheimer’s disease. They work by reducing the breakdown of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, levels of which are low in Alzheimer’s. There are three such drugs available: donepezil (Aricept), rivastigmine and galantamine. Another drug, memantine, was launched for people in the late stages of Alzheimer’s. Sometimes anti-depressant medicines are prescribed to help treat the depression that can be associated with Alzheimer’s disease. Some people may benefit from anti-psychotic medicines.

Sun, nature, outdoors? and ticks! Lyme Disease Season is upon us! Lyme disease will plague over 200,000 people in the United States this year alone. It is estimated that nearly 1 billion cases of lyme disease are left untreated in the world today because doctors often overlook or misdiagnose lyme disease. If you are reading this article, then quite possibly you or a loved one is suffering from the aftermath of this debilitating disease. Perhaps you are part of the millions who were misdiagnosed and are now suffering from the late stages of lyme disease. Don’t lose hope! Did you know there is a natural remedy that has been healing people of lyme disease? This could be the most shocking article you ever read about lyme disease!

The Good and Bad?

My name is Joe Barton and I’ve discovered a simple, all natural cure for lyme disease. Unfortunately, medical doctors have found lyme disease to be one of the most difficult diseases to diagnose properly, often leading to ineffective prescriptions which cost a bundle. Thankfully, the remedy I have discovered stops the progression of lyme disease, using 2 simple household ingredients.

The facts!

Did you know that lyme disease has grown exponentially in recent decades?

Did you know that lyme disease was almost non-existent before the 1970s?

You may not realize a correlation between these two facts? but over the past 30 years, Americans as well as many other people worldwide have drastically decreased their intake of sodium in order to combat high blood pressure, calcium depletion, and fluid retention. Unfortunately, many of those who told us to decrease our sodium intake forgot to tell us the benefits of certain types of “safe” sodium?. Namely the cure and prevention of lyme disease! By taking a certain type of sodium in conjunction with another common health supplement, the results are liberating. Thousands of people are educating themselves and becoming free from the pain and symptoms of lyme disease.

Could I have lyme disease?

Here are some common symptoms of both early and late stage symptoms of lyme disease:

Early Lyme Disease Symptoms:

Flu-like feelings

Headache

Stiff neck

Fever

Sleep disorders, or brain wave disruptions

Muscle Aches

Fatigue

Unique Enlarging Rash/Bruise

Progressive Lyme Disease Symptoms:

Profound fatigue

Severe headache

Fever

Muscle aches and pains

Vision Changes

Rash (possibly a bull’s eye rash)

Symptom-free in less than three

Chances are good that you saw a doctor, but you may be wondering if there is more you can do. After months of research I have discovered a 72-hour or less remedy that might free you from the aching complications of Lyme disease. The remedy consists of two household ingredients at specific amounts for specific amounts of time. Please do not delay. Visit my website link below and see how thousands of others just like you are now free from the ailments of lyme disease. You owe it to yourself and your loved ones to be 100%. healthy.. and just imagine, 100% could be just 3 days away.

Here is what one of our customers had to say:

“Hello, I tried your remedy Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Monday I felt better than I have felt in 2 months. The back pain I have had for months was much better, and my knees have improved.”

You may be asking yourself since when did Lyme disease become an epidemic? After all, an epidemic is a rapid spread or increase in the occurrence of a disease. Lyme disease cannot be that widespread? Or can it? Did you know that lyme disease was almost non-existent before the 1970s? How many cases are there now?

Know the numbers about Lyme disease?

Each year, 16,000 new cases of Lyme disease are reported. (Unfortunately, many more do not get reported or treated until it is too late.) Millions of people could mistake it for some other ailment and the symptoms only worsen.

The Center of Disease Control (CDC) affirms that “there is considerable under-reporting” of Lyme disease, and maintains that the actual infection rate may be 1.8 million, 10 times higher than the current 180,000 reported.

Dan Kinderleher, M.D., an expert on Lyme disease, stated on the Today Show in 2002 that the number of cases may be 100 times higher (18 million in the U.S. alone) than reported by the CDC.

Could I have Lyme Disease?

As stated earlier, Lyme Disease is often left undiagnosed or untreated because symptoms of Lyme are often mistaken for some other health problem. Fortunately, thousands of people are being treated?however, thousands are NOT being treated for lyme disease. Have you been in a forested/nature area (a mecca for ticks!) in the past week(s), month(s) or year(s)?

Do you have the following symptoms:

Consistent or recurring headache

Flu-like symptoms

Muscle stiffness

Aching muscles

Fatigue for no particular reason

If you answered ‘Yes’ to both of these questions, you might have lyme disease. Please don’t stop reading? help is on the way!

A Natural Treatment for Lyme Disease

Many professionals feel that current treatments of Lyme disease, while effective, are inadequate and incomplete. Current pharmaceutical treatments, though highly effective against the causes and symptoms of Lyme disease, also wage a war against an infected individual’s immune system. This creates symptoms which are listed above. In other words, you do NOT have to suffer from the harsh side-effects from Lyme Disease Medication.

You need 3 things to free yourself ‘naturally’ from the epidemic of Lyme:

1.) You need to educate yourself against what you’re dealing with. Information on lyme will be your number one weapon to cure yourself against lyme.

2.) You need to boast your immune system naturally. Most people still do not get enough Vitamin C to obtain a healthy immune system. Do you know how many milligrams a sufferer of lyme should take?

3.) You also need a natural mineral lacking in most bodies during recent decades.

By taking a more “whole body” or holistic approach to health and treatment of Lyme Disease, I’ve discovered a simple, all natural cure for lyme disease. After months of research I have discovered a 100% satisfaction guaranteed 72-hour or less (less than 3 days) remedy that will free you from the aching complications of Lyme disease.

Lyme Disease can frankly be a living nightmare. Millions of people each day cope with the symptoms of Lyme Disease. Do these lyme symptoms seem familiar? Extreme fatigue, constant headaches, muscle aches, fever, stiffness, bulls eye rash, inconsistent sleep habits and don’t forget the emotional pain! Today could be a new beginning for you as you naturally cure your Lyme Disease Symptoms. Please read the following testimonials from Lyme Disease Suffers.

What our readers say:

“Hello, I tried your remedy Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Monday I felt better than I have felt in 2 months. The back pain I have had for months was much better, and my knees have improved.”

“I had been watching a bite on my back for several weeks as it began to swell, itch and create a small red circle. When the fatigue started to set in accompanied with a headache, which was following the pattern of the previous three times I felt it was safest to assume the worse. After three days of trying your remedy, the energy was back and the constant headache was gone. I’m on my last day of full dosage and feel no symptoms. I greatly appreciate your research and will be using the Barton method as the preferred method of treatment in the future for suspected Lyme cases.”

That Could be You!

Have the symptoms of Lyme Disease been making life miserable?

Have you been prevented from enjoying work, social activities, and even your family since you contracted Lyme Disease?

Have you suffered mentally, emotionally, or physically from Lyme Disease?

Are you ready to have your life back?

You are at the right place! And you have just begun the road to naturally heal your Lyme Disease!

The Missing Facts equals the Natural Cure

Lyme Disease has exponentially grown in recent decades.

Lyme Disease was almost non-existent before the 1970s.

If ticks have been around for thousands of years, why would Lyme Disease only begin to appear after the 1970s? The answer is because of the BAD reputation of a ‘lyme eliminating’ mineral. Over the past 30 years, Americans as well as many other people worldwide have drastically decreased their intake of sodium in order to avoid: high blood pressure (hypertension), calcium depletion, or fluid retention. Unfortunately, many of those who told us to decrease our sodium intake forgot to tell us the benefits of certain types of “safe” sodium… Specifically, the cure and prevention of Lyme Disease. Lyme Disease sufferers who are taking a certain type of sodium along with another common health supplement, have naturally treated Lyme Disease. Thousands of people are educating themselves and becoming free from the pain and symptoms of Lyme Disease? without lyme medications with side effects.

Treat Lyme Naturally Today with 5 tips!

1.	Get Fruity! Did you know that most Americans are not getting enough Vitamin C and fiber? Go to your local grocery store and load up on frest fruits to help that immune system fight lyme.

2.	Daily Multi-Vitamins. Are you part of the millions who do not take multi-vitamins? If you are, you will have a weaker immune system and suffer from less energy throughout the day. Lyme disease loves a weak immunity.

3.	At least 12 glasses a day! Your body is almost three-quarters water! You need at least twelve full glasses of water a day while fighting lyme. Hint: Your urine should always be clear.

4.	Sharp or Dull Pain? For immediate relief to aches and pains from lyme disease. Use a ice pack (cold) for sharp pains and use a hot pack (castor oil) for dull pains.

5.	Grapefruit Seed Extract. Grapefruit Seed Extract has been clinically proven to fight against harmful bacteria in the body. It can be found at some grocery stores and health food stores.

Finally, if you are in need of immediate pain relief please do not delay in treating yourself. Barton Publishing Inc. guarantees a natural cure that will work in less than 3 days. We will also provide you with information to keep you and your family safe from lyme. Please take some time to check out our website? your body will thank you!

There are two types of heart valve disease–heart disease resulting from narrowed heart valves, and heart disease resulting from leaky heart valves. Each of them stems from several different causes, ranging from birth defects, to bacterial infection, to aging.

Congential Heart Valve Disease
Congenital heart valve is the most common, and can result in inflexible or narrowed, or floppy, valves, or irregular valve flaps. Congenital heart valve disease is often diagnosed within a few days of a baby’s birth, but if the defect is minor, may not be discovered until much later. Heart valve disease can be very hard to diagnose because some forms of it do not produce symptoms.

Some people, however, acquire heart valve disease because of complications from another disease such as heart muscle disease, coronary artery disease and heart attack. A child who has suffered from a rheumatic heart disease because of a simple strep throat will likely to have a valvular disease when he or she reaches adulthood.

Heart valve disease, however, can also develop as a complication from some other illness; children who have had rheumatic fever following an untreated case of strep throat have a greater than fifty percent chance of developing scarring on their heart valves. A heart with scarred valves has to work harder than one with smooth ones, and as the years mount, the extra strain on the heart can lead to rheumatic heart disease.

Endiocarditis

Another form of heart valve disease which can result from infection is endiocarditis. Endiocarditis develops when bacteria enters the bloodstream during surgery or dental procedures, causing inflammation of the heart and scarring both its valves and leaflets. In the case of endiocarditis, the scarred leaflets will allow blood entering the heart to back up, or “regurgitate,” diminishing the blood volume within the heart and the amount of blood and oxygen which reaches the body’s other organs. For more info see http://www.treatheartdiseasehelp.com/Congestive_Heart_Disease/ on Congestive Heart Disease

The elderly are susceptible to heart valve disease resulting from calcification, or calcium deposit buildup, along the valves.

Testing For Heart Valve Disease

Echocardiograms and MRIs are the tests best suited to diagnose heart valve disease. Either one will give the cardiologist a good look at abnormalities both in the main chambers of the heart and all its smaller structures including the valves.

Symptoms of heart valve disease can include vertigo resulting from a quick shift of positions, such as standing up or sitting, heart palpitations or racing, shortness of breath after minimal activity, and sever afternoon fatigue.

Those experiencing any of these symptoms on a regular basis should arrange to see a cardiologist and be tested for a heart murmurs, a strong indication of heart valve disease.

Parkinson’s Disease is a disease mostly affecting middle-aged and elderly people characterized by tremors and rigid, slow movement. It is also known as PD or Parkinson disease. Early symptoms of PD are subtle and occur gradually. Parkinson’s disease belongs to a group of conditions called movement disorders. The disease is both chronic, meaning it persists over a long period of time, and progressive, meaning its symptoms grow worse over time. Parkinson’s disease was named after Scottish physician James Parkinson, who published a description of the condition. Cardinal features include resting tremor, rigidity, bradykinesia, and postural instability. In some people the disease progresses more quickly than in others. It is characterized by muscle rigidity, tremor, a slowing of physical movement ( bradykinesia ), and in extreme cases, a loss of physical movement ( akinesia ). PD usually affects people over the age of 50. The risk of PD increases with age, so analysts expect the financial and public health impact of this disease to increase as the population gets older. In Parkinson’s, cells are destroyed in part of the brain stem – the substantia nigra, which sends out fibers to the corpus stratia, gray and white bands of tissue in both sides of the brain. Parkinson’s disease is called idiopathic Parkinson’s because the cause is unknown. In the other forms of parkinsonism, a cause is known or suspected.

Causes of Parkinson’s disease

Tremor.

Slowed motion (bradykinesia).

Treatment of Parkinson’s disease

Here is list of the methods for treating Parkinson’s disease:

Parlodel is a useful drug for Parkinson’s disease.

Tolcapone

Pramipexole.

Trihexyphenidyl.

Selegiline (Eldepryl): This drug, used with or without carbidopa-levodopa therapy, helps prevent the breakdown of both naturally occurring dopamine and dopamine formed from levodopa.

Other treatment approaches, including general lifestyle modifications (rest and exercise), physical therapy, speech therapy, will be covered in Maintaining Optimal Wellness.

Various forms of surgical treatment are available to control movement disorders when medications are ineffective.

Peyronie’s disease is an acquired inflammatory condition of the associated with penile curvature and, in some cases, pain. The exact cause of Peyronie’s Disease is unknown but several theories have been proposed. The disease is characterized by a hard, fibrous layer of scar tissue (plaque) that usually develops under the skin on the upper or lower side of the Cases of Peyronie’s disease range from mild to severe. Symptoms may develop slowly or appear overnight. In Peyronie’s disease, dense, fibrous scar tissue forms in the tunica albuginea. Some patients who do not have pain with erection have tenderness on palpation of the indurated plaque. It begins as a localized inflammation and can develop into a hardened scar. Men with Peyronie’s disease usually seek medical attention because of painful erections and difficulty.

The onset of signs of the Peyronie’s disease can be sudden or slow and can vary in severity. A number of authors believe that Peyronie’s disease results, in part, from trauma. Because Peyronie’s disease doctors have historically classified the condition as a form of impotence, currently referred to as erectile dysfunction. There is no cure for Peyronie’s disease. In many cases, pain caused by Peyronie’s disease may decrease after a short period of time. Ten percent of men with Peyronie’s Disease have a condition called Dupuytren’s contracture which is similar to a trigger finger. Peyronie’s disease may shrink or disappear without treatment, medical experts suggest waiting a full year before attempting to correct it surgically.

Medications (such as verapamil, potassium aminobenzoate [Potaba], colchicine, or injected steroids) and vitamin E may help treat pain and improve function.

In some cases, use of a penile prosthesis may be used to help maintain an erection.

Shock wave lithotripsy has also been used to treat Peyronie’s disease.

Symptoms may go away somewhat with radiation therapy or corticosteroid injections into the fibrous band of tissue.

Raynaud’s disease is a condition that affects the blood supply to the fingers, toes and occasionally the ears and nose. Raynaud’s disease can be classified as one of two types: primary (or idiopathic) and secondary (also called Raynaud’s phenomenon). Primary Raynaud’s disease has no predisposing factor, is more mild, and causes fewer complications. About half of all cases of Raynaud’s disease are of this type. It can occur without any other associated symptoms or disease. The fingers are the most commonly affected area, but the toes also are affected in 40 percent of people with Raynaud’s. In severe cases, tissue damage leads to gangrene and the ends of the affected digits die and become black, requiring amputation. Fortunately this is a rare complication. Women are more likely than men are to have the disorder. It’s more common in people who live in colder climates. Use of such drugs, which constrict blood vessels, can also make Raynaud’s phenomenon worse. Some people with Raynaud’s phenomenon also have other disorders that occur when arteries are prone to constrict.

People who operate vibrating machinery may also experience this problem. If the condition progresses, blood flow to the area could become permanently decreased causing the fingers to become thin and tapered, with smooth, shiny skin and slow growing nails. People can control mild Raynaud’s disease by protecting their head, trunk, arms, and legs from cold. Secondary Raynaud’s disease is common among individuals systemic lupus erythematosus in tropical countries. Secondary Raynaud’s disease is the same as primary Raynaud’s disease, but occurs in individuals with a predisposing factor, usually a form of collagen vascular disease. Raynaud’s disease is diagnosed if the symptoms occur only by itself and is not accompanied by other diseases. When you have primary or secondary Raynaud’s, cold temperatures or stressful emotions can trigger attacks. During these attacks, there is a brief lack of blood flow to the affected body part(s), and the skin can temporarily become white then bluish. When Raynaud’s is severe (which is uncommon), exposure to cold for as little as 20 minutes can cause major tissue damage.

Causes of Raynaud’s disease

The common causes and risk factor’s of Raynaud’s disease include the following:

The exact cause of Raynaud’s is unknown.

Smoking.

Contact with the cold.

Alcohol use (in women).

Chemical exposure.

Diseases of the arteries.

Associated diseases.

Repetitive trauma.

Emotions such as stress and anxiety.

It appears to be more common in people who live in colder climates.

Symptoms of Raynaud’s disease

Some sign and symptoms related to Raynaud’s disease are as follows:

A tingling feeling or pain in the fingers or toes when they warm up.

Tingling or pain on warming.

Bluish skin.

Sequence of color changes in your skin in response to cold or stress.

Slight swelling.

Numbness.

Skin redness or inflammation.

Pain in the fingers or toes when they are cold.

Treatment of Raynaud’s disease

Here is list of the methods for treating Raynaud’s disease:

Self-care and preventive treatment usually are effective in alleviating mild symptoms of Raynaud’s.

Calcium channel blockers: These drugs relax and open up small blood vessels in your hands and feet.

Biofeedback can also help to decrease the severity and frequency of RP in some patients.

Doctors may use a surgical procedure called a digital sympathectomy with adventitial stripping (which involves removing the tissue and nerves around the blood vessels supplying the affected digits).

Patients with persistent or bothersome symptoms may be helped by taking oral medications that open (dilate) blood vessels. These include calcium antagonists, such as diltiazem, nicardipine (Cardene), nifedipine (Procardia).

Medications to relax the walls of the blood vessels may be prescribed.
