Does Your Child Embarrass You?

If not all, but most of the parents find it embarrassing if their child jumps on the sofa or makes noise at somebody?s house. I have often heard parents make comments like how they had to swallow humiliation when their son made a pile of all the cushions at their relative?s place and sat on it. If the child eats in a little messy way in front of the guests, it invites a stern stare from the mother. And God forbid if the child takes a handful of sweets from the serving bowl, parents mutter under their teeth ?take one? and curse in the minds for being ill mannered. They admit spanking their child for acting ?rowdy? or even punishing him saying ?you have become out of control?.
